2009 Oshkosh Display Airplane:Kelly McBride's 1981 V35B "Baby Doll" (N313W)
The American Bonanza Society announces selection of the Beechcraft that will appear alongside the ABS Hospitality Tent during AirVenture at Oshkosh July 27 — August 2. This year's display airplane is a beautifully restored and updated 1981 V35B Bonanza owned by Kelly McBride of Woodland Hills, CA. ABS members may remember Kelly's airplane as the one that suffered power loss and landed in a corn field en route to Oshkosh two years ago. Now completely restored and fantastically upgraded, N313W (which Kelly calls Baby Doll) will complete that flight to complement activities in the ABS tent. Enjoy Kelly's account of "Baby Doll's" restoration and upgrade as it appears in the July issue of ABS Magazine. Read it here. Thanks to everyone who submitted their Beechcraft for consideration as the display airplane. |
