After a scenic mountain flight to U42, ABS members checked into the downtown Marriott for a fun-filled convention at the Salt Palace Convention Center of Salt Lake City.
We enjoyed the comedy and juggling of Jason Huneke, the great presentation by Jeff Green on his engine failure and skillful recovery ("It's great to be here today!"), a beautiful Hangar Party at South Valley Regional Airport, and the stories of Greg Dobbs from his 40 years of broadcast journalism.
Lexington was a beautiful choice for our 2008 convention!
We visited Lexington's Kentucky Horse Park, location of the 2010 World Equestrian Games and danced the night away.
Air 51 hosted our Hangar Party at the Bluegrass Airport with a fantstic formation flight to entertain all.
AOPA's own Phil Boyer closed our convention with the story of his amazing 18-year career leading the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association.
A celebration to remember!
In 2007 we celebrated the 40th anniversary of ABS, the 60th anniversary of the Bonanza, and the 75th anniversary of Beechcraft in the Air Capital of the World (and ABS home town) - Wichita, Kansas.
Over 340 Beechcraft landed at KBEC to enjoy the convention at the Century II Convention Center.
Local journalist Larry Hatteberg started us off with touching photos and stories from around Wichita.
Beechcraft took us on a custom tour of the factory, and we celebrated with our Hangar Party at Beech Field.
Barry Schiff closed the show with a very entertaining presentation by a very talented aviator.
2007 was a fantastic convention!
