Model 35Rs are 1947 and 1948 Model 35s rebuilt by Beech to satisfy anticipated customer demand for trade-ins for the C35, production of which was slowed by materials shortages caused by the Korean War.
Rebuild included most B35 and C35 features but retain the Model 35?s tubular steel wing carry-thru.
Model 35R serial numbers are the air-frame?s original serial number with a suffix denoting the order in which they were modified.
There was no serial number D-XXXR13.
