ABS NEWS: New Electric Attitude Indicator

Sporty's Pilot Shop introduces its new electric backup attitude indicator with integral slip-skid indicator as a replacement for turn coordinators and turn-and-banks.

As previously described in ABS NEWS, the Federal Aviation Administration now permits a second, electric attitude indicator for instrument flight in place of the traditional turn coordinator or turn-and-bank indicator.  One vital requirement of the FAA ruling (explained in AC 91-75 ) is that a slip/skid indicator be fitted in the pilot's primary field of view with the installation of the backup attitude indicator.  Sporty's new, TSO'd indicator may be the first to incorporate this required inclinometer to simplify the replacement process.
