Brittain Autopilot

Hello everyone. New to this form. I just purchase a 1962 travelAir B95A with a Brittain B4 autopilot that is Inop. Does anyone know if there is someone out there who can service it or overhaul it?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Contact Autopilot Central in Tulsa, OK
918-836-7701 they should be able to help. I would not put a lot of money into it as the new digital autopilots are priced reasonably.

Bob, thank you for your response. Already tried that with no luck. I wanted to trouble shoot it and see if it can be easily fixed; however, Autopilot Central doesnt work on them any longer.

Very Respectfully,

It's been 4 or 5 years since we used them, but Central Florida Avionics had some older avionics techs that were very familiar with Brittain. They brought mine back from the dead after I purchased my V35.

Way back in the late 90's, I had a V35 with a Brittain AP. Overhauled it and spent tons of money on it. I soon realized as most owners of that AP, that it's a worthless anchor in an airplane. I'd save your money for an AP upgrade to anything else.
