The flap switch has started to stick when I try to lower the flaps. I'm wondering if trying a little silicone spray will hunt anything in there or cause the switch to short out. Electrically the switch works fine, just some times it's hard to move it. No problem moving it back to the "up" or neutral positions.

I am also working on piano key switches right now. The aluminum piano key is actually just a lever that flips an AN style toggle switch mounted behind the panel. As Mike Thompson has previously mentioned, they are not too hard to change. A good source for AN switches is: www.federalconnectors.com
