95 Travel Air Cowl Flap Overhaul

Finally had a cowl flap motor fail on my 1958 Travel Air 95. I am struggling to find a shop that will overhaul the old garwin actuator assemblies.

1) Does anyone know of a shop that might overhaul?
2) Is there an acceptable substitute part?
3) I assume its not within my budget even if it exist, but how would I check Beechcraft stock for NoS? .

Any help would be awesome - Im losing sleep over simple little actuator

There are several different manufacturers of the actuator, if you can provide a P/N of the one you have I will check who can repair.

Bob,

Thanks for the much needed help.

The P/N is 95-910016-602 (ACTUATOR ASSY, COWL FLAP RH)

Last 3 digits indicate left/right - same P/N ending in -601 is LH

I cannot locate anyone that has one or has repair capabilities. The early B55 uses P/N
96-380021-3. I do not have any specs as far as length or wiring.
Try calling Quality Aircraft Accessories 918-835-6948 and see if they can help.
