Two Questions:
1. I have 2000 hours on the aircraft so by the book it is time to overhaul the gear motor. Do you have any recommendations where to have this done? Also, I'm told I want a Lamb IS14400 motor. I dont' know what is in the aircraft currently.

2. My mechanic says it is time to replace the ends of the control rods to the ruddervators. According to my parts book the Control Rod/hec/end is part number MD46-15. Does this sound correct and do you have any recommendations on where to get the four parts.

If you are operating Part 91 you do not have to C/W the suggested overhaul times in the manual.
If your transmission is not leaking out of the bottom or top seal and the split line between the 2 halves, I would make sure oil level is ok and continue in service. If motor is operating normal and gear speed is about 9-12 seconds, it can also continue in service.
The P/N for rod ends is correct and can be purchased from Aircraft Spruce
The biggest thing at 2000 hours is the 3 nose gear retract rod end bearings, tension spring, shear pin, and aft attach bolt.

Either the 131765-8M or 35-524106-9 would be the preferred (differential control rod) rod end bearing. The MD46-15 would need to be modified per SB MSB 2668, Rev. 1, prior to use, reference AD97-06-11.

Beech has stock on only the 131765-8M
