After a short sector where I had wanted to use aux fuel I inadvertently landed with aux tanks selected. Short turnaround, rushing, I did not check Main tanks selected for Take-off until I commenced take-off roll. I selected both tanks to mains and both engines quit halfway through the take-off roll. I have learnt a valuable lesson!!
I am looking for input as from my knowledge of the fuel system the mains lead straight to the selectors at the lowest point of the system. I find it strange that an airlock could develop.
The last time I ran an aux tank dry I was a little surprised how long it took to get the engine running after selecting mains.
