I/B fuel sender main bladder

Installing a new bladder on Left main tank. the outboard fuel sender had an aluminum ring in between the sender and the rubber bladder with a cork gasket. no one noticed a ring on the I/B fuel sender. the senders have .030 -.040 thick plate. very thin unlike the older models or f33 or a36. the plates are around .125 thick,
are we missing the plate?

Different manufacturers of the cells have varying flange appearances, but they should all be the same on each individual cell. If in doubt, consult the provider of your new cell.
