Cargo/Baggage Door-Hold-Open

The curved rod that holds the standard (not oversize) cargo/baggage door open no longer works (worn bracket) on my H-35. Anyone have a fairly "stock" repair for this? I have thought of welding new material on the worn portion of the steel bracket. Anyone done this? I know there are a lot of work arounds for this, but I'd like to repair it to be as it was when new--it has lasted 60+ years so I'm sure a factory-like repair ought to last a long time.

I have a door steward for the main cabin door (which I love) but I don't think it would work well for this door since the only way to hold it closed is to actually lock it with a key. Thus, I would need to lock it shut each time I just wanted to close it temporarily while loading/unloading something from the cabin.

Thanks!

Joseph... If you were looking for the steel bracket P/N 35-410180-14, it was replaced by P/N 002-400000-21.

Thanks! I also ordered 35-410214 which is the rod that rides in the above bracket. Hopefully it will solve the issue!
