Weight & Balance control

Hello,

The last Weight & balance sheet is dated 1996.
If nothing has changed on the aircraft ,shall we need to perform a new one ?
Does the FAA request to make a weight & balance check every xxx years?
Haven't found FAA regulation regarding the limit of a W&B
Is there any Bonanza specific procedures I can find regarding W&B ?
Thank you

Best regards

There is no requirement for Part 91 aircraft to be periodically weighed. That said, you are about 28 years since the last actual; and calculated amendments can have errors.. However, if there has been no equipment changes in that time, it would not be high on the priority list unless you feel the aircraft takes more (or less) elevator trim than it should.

Adding to Mike’s comments, you can find general weight & balance information in the FAA Weight & Balance Handbook FAA-H-8083-1B and in AC43.13-1B Chapter 10 both downloadable free from the faa.gov website

As far as “specific Bonanza procedures” you can refer to the F33C POH Section VI “Weight & Balance/Equipment List.” Weighing Instructions are presented in the first few pages of this chapter. There are 8 items the POH discusses for weighing procedures and a good illustration on page 6-4.

Directions for specific weighing scales, of course, can be found from that manufacturer.

Well played, Jim; thanks. I immersed in the first part of the question and 'plane' old missed the second part.
