ABS Instructor Camp

The ABS Instructor Camp is a three-day immersion experience in Wichita, KS including ground school and approximately six hours flying N504SJ, the ABS Air Safety Foundation A36, to experience the BPPP flight syllabus both as a student in the left seat and as an instructor in the right.

ABS Instructor Camp is an alternative pathway for an experienced flight instructor who does not yet meet BPPP instructor minimum requirements to earn BPPP accreditation by demonstrating the ability to safely and accurately present the BPPP flight syllabus. All other BPPP instructor requirements apply – completing the online ABS Flight Instructor Academy, submitting an instructional resume and at least two letters of recommendation from past flight students, passing a telephone interview, and demonstrating excellence in communication, member service, Beechcraft knowledge and safe pilot education on an end-of-course standardization check.

Schedules are very limited, and to provide the full flight experience only two CFIs will be scheduled at a time. The total fee, which includes use of N504SJ, is $1800. Participants will be responsible for all their own travel and lodging expenses.
