Course Description

Airframe icing is insidious. But possible icing conditions are predictable and permit developing strategies for avoidance. In this program BPPP instructor Dr. Parvez Dara will cover:

• Fronts, cloud phase and icing
• Types and intensity of icing
• The Supercooled Liquid Droplet (SLD) threat
• Avoidance strategies and rules
• The recovery difference between wing stalls and tail stalls
• A word about FIKI
• Answers to viewer questions

Presenter

Parvez Dara is a Hematologist-Oncologist. He holds ATP, CFII, MEI and AGI ratings. He is a nine-time Master CFII, a BPPP Accredited Instructor, Lead FAASTeam Representative, Former Senior AME, President of the Mooney Safety Foundation, and Master Instructor Reviewer. Parvez is a member ABS, SAFE, AOPA and EAA.
