Performance: Beyond the POH
Course Description
ABS gets many questions about flying Bonanzas, Barons, Debonairs and Travel Airs. Some of the information available needs more explanation than what’s in the Pilot’s Operating Handbook alone. This one-hour program will answer some of the most common questions about flying ABS-type airplanes, then open up for a question and answer session with live program viewers. We’ll address topics including:
- How to fly a short-field takeoff and landing in Beech airplanes
- Why the approach and stall speed of A36s goes up at lighter weights
- How to obtain maximum horsepower for a high density altitude takeoff, in normally aspirated, turbocharged and turbonormalized airplanes
- How to predict performance in a modified airplane
- Answers to live viewer questions about flying ABS-type aircraft
